Why Doggy Daycare is Important

Socialization and Interaction

Dogs are social animals that thrive on interaction with others. At our doggy daycare, your furry friend will have the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy supervised playtime with other dogs. This socialization helps reduce anxiety and improves their overall behavior around other dogs and people.

Exercise and Physical Activity

Keeping your dog active is essential for their health and happiness. Our facility provides ample space for running, playing, and exercising. Regular physical activity helps maintain a healthy weight, improves cardiovascular health, and reduces the risk of obesity-related issues.

Mental Stimulation

Boredom can lead to destructive behavior in dogs. Our daycare offers a variety of stimulating activities and toys that keep your dog's mind engaged. Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise, and it can help prevent issues like excessive barking and chewing.

Routine and Structure

Dogs thrive on routine and structure. At our daycare, your dog will have a consistent schedule that includes playtime, rest periods, potty breaks, and feeding times. This structure helps reduce stress and provides a sense of security, making your dog feel more at ease.

Professional Supervision

Our trained staff ensures that your dog is always in good hands. We monitor all interactions and activities to ensure a safe and positive experience for every dog. You can have peace of mind knowing that your dog is being cared for by professionals who love dogs just as much as you do.

Reduced Loneliness and Separation Anxiety

Leaving your dog alone at home can lead to feelings of loneliness and separation anxiety. At Boomer's Beach, your dog will be surrounded by friends and caregivers, which helps alleviate these feelings and provides them with a fun and engaging environment.

What Our Daycare Involves

01

Daycare Evaluation

Each dog is required to undergo  an evaluation before attending daycare, to ensure they are placed with compatible dogs and to make sure we can customize their daycare needs.

03

Continuous Supervision

Our trained kennel attendants will supervise the play groups at all times, so you can rest assured that your dog will be playing safely with constant supervision.

02

A Healthy Environment

The health and safety of dogs is our utmost priority, so we follow best-practice vaccine requirements & make sure all our furry friends are symptom-free before they play (see our FAQs for required vaccinations).

04

Rest Times

Rest is an important part of their day, making sure they don't get over-stimulated, which can lead to behavior problems. We ensure our furry friends have plenty of time for breaks and fun.

Daycare FAQs

How old does my dog have to be to go to doggy daycare?

Puppies must be 16 weeks old and fully vaccinated to attend doggy daycare.

What vaccines are required?

We require all dogs to be current on their Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper, plus a negative fecal exam once a year. Please bring current vaccination records with you to your evaluation. If you are a current customer, please bring in or email vaccination records to hello@boomersbeach.com. You can also upload vaccination records into our new customer portal here.

Are reservations required for daycare?

Yes, we do require
reservations to make sure we have the room to place your dog along with the best playmates, and because we limit the amount of dogs we can take so we can give them the best care and supervision. Reservations are easy to make by calling us at (630) 457-5583 or by creating an account and making reservations on our new customer portal here

How do you know where to place my dog in a playgroup?

We require a "meet and greet" prior to attending, which is a half-day of day care to watch and evaluate your dog for temperament, social and energy levels, and according to age. We are also investing in training for our staff on how to understand dog behavior and how to carefully curate playgroups for your pup to have a fun and safe experience!
