ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES
You may be wondering what enrichments are, and why they have their own page! Well, we like to keep up with current research on dogs and the best ways to keep them healthy and happy, and enrichment activities are one of the best ways to do that!
While daycare has its advantages, enrichments bring a whole new level into the daycare setting. Your dog will thrive with activities designed to engage their natural instincts, and to fulfill their physical mental, and emotional needs using the 5 pillars of dog enrichment: Social, Occupational, Physical, Sensory, and Nutritional.

We have invested in education to learn from the best in the field to understand how and why these activities work, and we're excited to bring them to you and your dog! These activities are designed to stimulate their brain and happily wear them out, but also reduce stress and boost confidence by mimicking tasks they were bred to do.
A dog that’s mentally stimulated throughout the day is less likely to engage in destructive behaviour at home. Instead, they’ll be much more likely to settle down, relax, and enjoy some quiet time with you.

Check out our selection of enrichment activities below, and treat your dog to an activity they'll be sure to love!

Sniffari
Not just a normal walk! Let your dog's nose be our guide as we walk them through neighboring Wheeler Park. We will combine trail and grassy areas to walk on for an extra sensory and tactile treat, and your dog's nose directs us where to go (safely, of course!). Dogs rely on their sense of smell to explore and understand their world, and giving them the chance to sniff meets their deepest instinctual needs, leading to a happier, more relaxed dog!

One-on-One Time
Have your dog spend 20 minutes of dedicated time with one of our staff members! We will play with them in their favorite play style, or if they don't seem to be feeling up to playing (or if he/she is elderly or has mobility problems) we will spend some one-on-one snuggling your pup. This is great for bonding with the staff and making your furry family member even more comfortable when they spend time in our care!

Relax & Recharge Snack
Let your dog relax and recharge in a quiet studio suite with a stuffed Kong or Licki Mat to give them a yummy treat that also helps them relax by licking. Just like us, dogs need downtime to recharge - especially in a busy daycare environment. Without rest, dogs can become overwhelmed, which can affect their mood and well-being and can lead to potential behavior issues. Give them the best of both worlds with the benefits of rest along with a treat!
